A builder who creates structure where there is none. You'll build the unit from the ground up, lead the team,
win and grow major corporate accounts, and turn a blueprint into a high-performing growth engine.
Purpose of the Job
Build and run Ark's new Business Development Unit and own its numbers across the group.
Grow the client base and deliver revenue growth and market coverage across all three lines.
Create the structure that drives growth, operating effectively in ambiguity while the unit is being built.
Lead the team of two Corporate Sales Executives and the Growth and Marketing Executive, and personally carry the largest corporate accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Build and establish the BD function: design the team operating model, sales processes and reporting cadence.
Turn the BD Blueprint into a working sales plan: target segments, account allocation, renewal calendar and pipeline stages.
Own the unit's annual and quarterly targets for new VIVA accounts, AfriTPA mandates and Provita corporate contracts, and report on them monthly to leadership.
Personally lead the pursuit of top-tier corporate, multinational and institutional accounts, engaging C-suite executives, HR and benefits decision-makers.
Develop scalable playbooks, sales pitch templates and standard ways of working, with Marketing & Campaigns providing the supporting collateral.
Manage and coach the team, set individual targets, and run a weekly pipeline review.
Translate market insights into actionable opportunities, including combined offers across the products and VIVA's position against competing IPMI and HMO options.
Partner with Finance on pricing, proposals and margin approvals, and with Provita's GM to confirm clinic capacity before committing to corporate volumes.
Build and manage partnerships with brokers, benefits consultants and employer groups, with clear account-ownership rules between direct and broker-sourced business.
Enforce consistent CRM use across the team to give leadership a single, reliable view of the pipeline.
By the end of Q1 2027, have the team fully onboarded and productive; before the 2027 renewal cycle, have a quantified, stage-weighted pipeline in place; and throughout 2027, meet or be clearly on track for VIVA, AfriTPA and Provita targets, with conversion rates monitored.
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent presentation skills; able to captivate an audience and progress the conversation to the next stage.
Proven record of closing and renewing large corporate accounts, with a network among HR and benefits decision-makers.
Successful deal-packaging experience: structuring multi-product offers that win and retain corporate clients.
Experience building revenue acceleration frameworks and designing sales enablement playbooks.
Excellent at shaping campaigns and awareness activities that drive growth, working with Marketing & Campaigns on delivery.
Experience building or leading a sales team and managing targets.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required; an MBA or insurance certification (CIIN, CII) is an added advantage.

Purpose of the Job
Win and grow corporate clients for AfriTPA and Provita Clinic from an assigned portfolio of accounts.
A front-line, target-carrying role: prospect, meet, propose and close.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new corporate business for Provita's healthcare solutions (health checks, screenings and memberships) and AfriTPA's service offerings, including administration mandates and VIVA Health IPMI solutions, as standalone or integrated services.
Build a consistent pipeline across your assigned accounts through networking, referrals and outbound outreach.
Manage the end-to-end sales process: run discovery meetings to understand workforce size, current cover and renewal dates; deliver presentations; prepare proposals using the unit's templates and collateral; negotiate commercial terms, taking pricing requests to Finance through the BD Lead; and close new business.
Build and maintain strong relationships with HR, finance, decision-makers and business owners, and remain each account's commercial contact for renewals.
Recommend cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the three products within existing and newly won accounts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for signed clients.
Consistently share market and competitor insights to help refine the sales strategy.
Log every activity and opportunity in the CRM and keep the pipeline accurate for the weekly review.
Support health days and client events run by Marketing & Campaigns.

Execute go-to-market strategies and product launch campaigns in collaboration with the BD Lead, aligned with the business growth strategy and product roadmap.
Own the unit's marketing performance and data: the CRM, the pipeline dashboard and the market insights that shape the team's focus.
Key Responsibilities
Roll out go-to-market strategies efficiently, working with the BD Lead to launch campaigns according to the product roadmap.
Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns that generate brand awareness, qualified leads and customer engagement across digital, social, events and corporate channels, including LinkedIn and email campaigns aimed at corporate decision-makers.
Build and run a 12-month campaign calendar timed to corporate budgeting and renewal cycles, including a year-round contact programme with existing clients so renewals and referrals are not left to chance.
Plan and deliver corporate health days, screening events and client briefings with Provita and the Sales Executives.
Drive commercial marketing performance: work closely with the BD Lead to create campaigns that support client acquisition, track campaign performance and lead source, and optimise marketing activity based on data and market insights.
Manage the CRM and keep a clean pipeline dashboard; produce the weekly pipeline report and the monthly BD dashboard for leadership.
Build and score the target account list from Ark's existing client base and market data.
Regularly deliver market and competitor insights, combining desk research with field feedback from the Sales Executives.
Produce thought-leadership content, including the cost-of-cover briefing, that opens doors with HR and finance leaders.
Create sales collateral for all three products (proposal templates, product sheets, case studies and broker packs) in line with the BD Lead's sales playbooks.
Recommend strategic sponsorship partnerships, and keep brand use consistent across Ark, AfriTPA and Provita.
Ensure marketing activities are executed in line with the agreed roadmap and campaign calendar, generating qualified opportunities for the sales team, maintaining accurate reporting, and maximising engagement and conversion from events and campaigns.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proven ability to roll out go-to-market strategies and product launch campaigns efficiently.
Experience running integrated, multi-channel campaigns and events with a clear link to sales results.
Proficiency in Excel, campaign analytics, managing CRM and building pipeline dashboards.
